Our Road Safety team recently participated in the AZAHAR MOBILITY SEMINAR to improve safety education and communication in the greater Mediterranean area.

 

  Off the shelves in 15 days!
In just 15 days, ACV has had to print a second edition of its new book series about the zodiac signs, Your 12 Irresistible Virtues. Sold in bookstores and newsstands, the books have also appeared across a wide variety of media announcing the release of ACV’s new book series. Not only has the series been mentioned and reviewed in the magazines Lecturas, Cuore, In Joy, Nuevo Vale and Sorpresa, and the newspapers Qué! and La Vanguardia, but the zodiac series has even made appearances on radio shows like RAC1, Radio Terrassa and COPE!

  ACV goes to Frankfurt
ACV participated and exhibited at the world-famous Frankfurt Book Fai, during which Catalonia was the Guest Culture of Honor. ACV’s stand was situated in the pavilion of the Association of Catalonian Publishers, where ACV presented some of its most recent books such as Your 12 Irresistible Virtuesand Medicine of the Ancient Aztecs, along with some of its other “classic” books like The Year You Were Born.

A top 100 scientific book
The publication 100 Books of Science, edited by the City Hall of Barcelona, selected 100 of the best popular science books published recently. Among the books chosen was ACV’s Healthcare in Ancient Rome.

The year ACV conquered Lithuania
The year 2007 will forever be remembered by ACV as the year that its series, The Year You Were Born, was internationalized. Metai, kuriais tu gimei is the Lithuanian name of the book series that was presented in February at the Vilnius Book Fair. Covering the years 1930 to 1995, the books are sold in bookstores across Lithuania.

 

5 x Frankfurt
During the Frankfurt Book Fair, ACV was one of 5 Catalonian publishers invited to the Cinc x Frankfurt event, which recognized and lauded the dynamic energy of five very unique publishing houses whose books were presented in the most important and emblematic bookstores of Catalonia.  ACV presented Your 12 Irresistible Virtues and Just What’s So Special About Catalonians?

 

Medicine of the Ancient Aztecs Released
ACV has made another journey back through time to explore the world of medicine in different eras and cultures – and this time around it’s the ancient Aztecs! Examined through an anthropological, sociocultural and political lens, ACV traces the medical practice and theory of the Aztec people, exploring cures and remedies, as well as common illnesses and diseases of the time. Graphically, Medicine of the Ancient Aztecs is composed of engrossing images and artistic illustrations that recreate the Aztec world and its people. The book is respectively written and endorsed by historians and professional doctors.

 

New titles for AnyYear
Two new titles have recently been added to the ANYYEAR collection: The Year Audiocenter was Born, the personalized edition of the year 1988 for the company Audiocenter, and Schnelles Wissen Wein, the German version of the Mini-Guide to Enjoying Wine.

 

ACV goes to ExpoHogar
The new product line of ACV Gifts was presented at the September edition of the Expohogar, which took place on the fairgrounds of the Gran Vía de la Fira in Barcelona. T-shirts, mugs, greeting cards, agendas and buttons were some of the many gifts ACV presented at the Puzzle Paper stand.
