‘Can you see danger?’ safe city travel for girls and boys

A safety leaflet ‘Com veus el risc?' 'Can you see danger?' created by ACV for the Catalan transport authority Servei Català de Transit, aims at promoting safe city travel among 8 to 12 year olds. The leaflet helps kids see what to watch out for when travelling in the city, and encourages boys and girls to put safety first.

The leaflet, in the style of a comic book, uses a concept and design that appeals and informs young people. Some 20,000 leaflets have been distributed in the city, and can be used as a study aid by teachers.

Golden pedestrians

A safety leaflet created by ACV for the Catalan transport authority Servei Català de Transit, aims at promoting safe city travel among pedestrians of retirement age. Under the title 'Grans vianants' ('Golden pedestrians'), the campaign is aimed at raising awareness of mobility risks for those pedestrians over the age of 65.

Some 10,000 leaflets have been distributed, as part of the safety information campaign pedestrian safety, by the Servei Català de Transit and the local police force Mossos d'Esquadra.


 

The “Let’s talk about…” collection grows
December, 2012

 

ACV ended the year with the publication of the second edition of the book “Let’s talk about emotional support for adults with oncohematological illnesses”. The book is the initiative of the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Foundation and is sponsored by Bristol-Meyers Squibb.

The “Let’s talk about…” collection imparts practical information on health topics. It comprises of a wide range of informative textbooks aimed at offering support and advice for those suffering from distinct illnesses.  

This textbook in particular offers advice to patients suffering from hematological cancer on the importance of correctly managing their emotions, and provides simple ways in which they can adopt a positive outlook with which to confront and fight their illness.

PLENUFAR IV, a success

The Nutrition Education Plan for the Pharmacist (PLENUFAR IV), driven by the General Council of Official Colleges of Pharmacists (CGCOF), and provided by ACV in collaboration with GENA, continues to reap success.

 According to the CGCOF, in the initiative, which aims to help pregnant women to improve their diet during pregnancy, breastfeeding and early infant life, involved nearly 40,000 women, who have been advised by some 3,000 pharmacists. In addition, the campaign has served to make 13,845 surveys, which have allowed us to analyze the nutritional status of pregnant Spanish.
 
We welcome the results, and we are delighted that our work will contribute to improving nutrition education.


 



Website for the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition

Like every year, ACV has designed the website of the Montserrat Caballé International Singing Competition.

This is a contest involving promising young singing, and has a world-class jury.

 Although the mere act of participating is already an enrichment, winning the contest may be the final stepping stone for those who want a career in the music world.

 

Presentation of the book Let’s talk about Rheumatoid Arthritis

On November 4, the Spanish Society of Rheumatology (SER), the National Coordinator of Arthritis (ConArtritis) and Roche presented in Madrid the book Let’s talk about Rheumatoid Arthritis, edited by ACV Publishing.

This is a new book of the series “Let’s Talk About...”, intended as a support tool and reference manual for patients affected by this disease.Includes information about the disease and treatment and useful recommendations for better quality of life.

The presentation, held at the headquarters of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology, was given by Dr. Eduardo Úcar Angulo, president of the Spanish Society of Rheumatology, Dr. Santiago Muñoz, Chief of the Rheumatology Service at Hospital Infanta Sofia of Madrid and Antonio Torralba, president of the National Coordinator of Arthritis.        

Travelling exhibition for the Catalan Traffic Service

On July 20 took place at the Avinguda de la Catedral of Barcelona, with great presence of media, the presentation of the exhibition that celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Servei Català de Trànsit (Catalan Traffic Service). The motto of the campaign is "In Catalonia we reduce accidents every day. You turn it on”.
 
The inauguration was in charge of the minister of the Department of Interior, Institutional Relations and Participation of the Generalitat of Catalonia, Joan Saura, and the director of SCT, Josep Pérez Moya.
 
ACV has been responsible for the coordination, design and processing of the contents of the exhibition, which is installed on a trailer that will tour 34 towns in Catalonia during the months of July and August.

Jorge Lorenzo gets involved with road safety

The Moto GP pilot Jorge Lorenzo participates in the campaign “Seguretat viària: no te’n rentis les mans” (Road Safety: Don’t wash your hands off). Organized by the Servei Català de Trànsit and the Mossos d’Esquadra the campaign has the objective to sensibilize motor-cyclists about the importance of road safety.

Lorenzo was on the highway C-35 in direction to Montmeló and spoke to bikers which came by. He also handed the campaign materials out which were created by ACV. The campaign was a big success.

The Clac doesn’t stop!
May, 2010

 
The Clac, the mascot which ACV created for Servei Català de Trànsit, continues his work to sensibilize kids about the importance of putting on the seatbelt while travelling by car.

With this objective in mind, the SCT has put into action a new campaign which includes commercials in TV, radio and journals, as well as a touring exhibition truck.

PLENUFAR IV
receives award
March, 2010

 
The 2009 Plan de Educación Nutricional por el Farmacéutico - Plan of nutritional education for pharmacists, PLENUFAR IV, was awarded with the “Best Initiative CF 2009” award by the Correo Farmacéutico. PLENUFAR IV is an innovative campaign initialized by the Consejo General de Colegios Oficiales de Farmacéuticos and realized by ACV in collaboration with GENA, which aims to inform and to help pregnant women to follow a proper diet during gestation, lactation and the first stages in life of the baby. The main objective is to promote healthy alimentary habits which not only enhance the health of the mother but overall the health of the future baby.
